REAL CLIENT CASE STUDY

Izmir Delight

Logo Design & Branding / Print & Marketing

Izmir Delight had earned a loyal following at Christchurch’s local farmers markets, and with a move into the new Riverside Market, owner Pinar knew it was time for a brand identity that reflected her Turkish roots with authenticity and pride.

After a disappointing experience with another designer, she was cautious—but through careful listening and cultural understanding, we created a logo that honoured her heritage and stood out from typical fast food visuals.

The approach.

The design centred around the inclusion of the evil eye—a powerful cultural symbol of protection—paired with motifs inspired by Turkish and Ottoman design.

To elevate the brand beyond a street food aesthetic, I used clean, modern typography and a rich, vibrant colour palette drawn from traditional Turkish tones and the blue hues of the evil eye itself. The final logo feels both rooted in heritage and refreshingly contemporary—just like the food it represents.
