Manu Ora is a general practice medical clinic offering a holistic, culturally grounded alternative to traditional healthcare models.
Based in Blenheim, the team provides accessible, multidisciplinary care—especially for Māori and vulnerable communities. The new identity needed to reflect this kaupapa while breaking free from the typical clinical feel of mainstream medical branding.

The approach.
The Manu Ora logo is rich with meaning, drawing on the symbolism of the Pīwakawaka (fantail) —representing a journey toward hauora (wellbeing).
The tail feathers reflect the four pillars of Te Whare Tapa Whā: spiritual, physical, mental, and whānau wellbeing. At the heart of the design is the relationship between parent and child, a nod to future generations and the integral role of whānau in holistic health.
A soft, modern sans-serif typeface supports the organic form of the icon, bringing balance, warmth, and approachability to a brand grounded in care, connection, and community.
