REAL CLIENT CASE STUDY

Te Hoiere Project

Logo Design & Branding / Print & Marketing

Te Hoiere Project is a collaborative environmental initiative working to restore and protect the health of the Te Hoiere/Pelorus landscape.

I was brought in to create a cohesive visual identity that could unify the diverse communities connected to the land and waterways, while reflecting the project’s guiding principles and Māori worldview.

The result is a thoughtful, purpose-driven brand that visually honours the partnership between land, sea, people, and place.

The approach.

The identity was designed to reflect the project's foundational principles—unity, leadership, and connection from land to sea. We began with in-depth visual exploration, aligning each design element with a core value.

The final logo features two interwoven forms representing land and sea, coloured to symbolise collective knowledge and community connection.

A refined wordmark with koru-inspired forms reinforces the connection to te ao Māori, while the byline—“Haere, kakea te ara poka hou”—anchors the identity in purpose and action.
